When one of the founders (Nigel Jones) was suffering with a painful shoulderhis attempt to contact his usual physiotherapist was proving an impossible task. Every time he called, the physio was busy with a client and all he got was the answer phone. Whenever the physio called back, Nigel was in a meetings and the call would go to voice mail.
After 24 hours failing to arrange an appointment, and in some pain still, he wondered quite why, in 2009, it was virtually impossible to go online, search for and find local physiotherapists, look at independent feedback, choose one and book a convenient appointment online.
Coming from a background in software development, it was a natural progression to sketch out an idea as to how this could be achieved. This is the seed that, once planted with co-founder Paul Harris in the Victoria Tavern, Douglas has subsequently grown to become miquando.com as we see it today.
