What is MiQuando.com?

 

MiQuando.com is the next generation of local online directory - a bit like your other basic directories on steroids.  It's a place where people  Search for and Find local businesses, but then can also Book Appointments Online with them and leave valuable, independent feedback via Ratings and Reviews for any business.

 

MiQuando is an internet based platform that brings online business directory/local search, online booking, ratings & reviews, online marketing tools and highly targeted advertising into a single, easy to use, low cost platform, aimed at helping micro and small businesses compete effectively online.

 

MiQuando is not simply another local directory service, online booking engine or marketing service. Currently these areas are being sold independently; MiQuando aims to disrupt this market, by tying multiple services together to completing the circle, with the ability to provide highly targeted marketing and advertising tools in a simple to use, self-service model.

With a low cost, easy to use platform, MiQuando enables non experts to achieve dramatic increases in online visibility, resource utilisation, customer acquisition and retention for the small business owner.

The MiQuando advertising platform allows businesses to target customers with a level of granularity that shows only relevant advertisements to just the right people, at just the right time, minimising wasted impressions and wasted money.

What’s in a name?

The name is perhaps a little unusual, but quite memorable.  MiQuando is a combination of two words – ‘Mi’ and ‘Quando ’ - derived from common European languages.  The two words: mean ‘me’ and ‘when’, are representative of our goal of helping both businesses and customers manage their appointments and bookings in a 21st century environment. 

 

Supporting local communities

 

MiQuando is committed to supporting the local communities where we operate, so 1% of booking revenues is set aside for good causes.   Each quarter we will ask the top performing businesses in each region to nominate a local charity, which presents the opportunity for local businesses to demonstrate their community support efforts.

Customer perspective 

I want to make an appointment to see a recommended physio / barber / dog groomer / hairdresser / restaurant / photographer / wedding venue / hypnotherapist etc. etc.), but my circle of friends/colleagues don’t know one so where do I find one I can trust?

  • The phone book is out of date or stuck in a drawer somewhere, but that doesn’t give me any feedback anyway.
  • I don't really trust "TheBestOf..." and the rest of them as I know the people on there have paid to be there.
  • I can’t contact the one I want to because they are busy with a client and I don’t want to play telephone tag.
  • It’s private and I can’t contact the one I want when I want to do it i.e. after work or at the weekend.
  • Booking an appointment is like a negotiation – I can do Monday at 9:00, oh sorry I’m booked then, how about Monday at 3:00, no I have to pick the kids up from school and so on.
  • I’m just a bit shy about speaking to strangers over the phone; I’d much prefer to book online.
  • I need to make a booking but don’t have to speak to anyone else or worry about people overhearing as it is a personal issue and I want to be discreet.
