The Restaurant Style booking calendar is geared up to work most effectively for Restaurants, Cafe's, Diners and is configured as shown below.
Choose Restaurant Style from the drop down menu
Giver your service a name e.g. Evening Service
Add a Description - This appears in your profile and has value in helping people finr you online so use this to mention why your place is unique and why people should choose to dine with you.
Choose when you wish this service to be available. *Tip: use this to set things up in advance or for limited time offers
Add as price if you want people to pay at the time of booking. (Learn about Special Offers)
Let the public book this service online or only allow booking for internal users.
If you want to collect payment up front select Yes. You can choose to collect just a deposit instead of the full amount.
You can choose to set a minimum amount of notice you require for bookings made online here.
Set the latest time you want people to be able to book a table online.
Maximum Capacity is the maximum number of covers you will accommodate in this service. Time slots for booking sets how people can book e.g. Customers can only book at 20 minute intervals. Maximum capacity per time slot sets the maximum no of customers you can accommodate in any time slot set above. Learn more about this here
Requiring customer's to sign-in means they must have a verified account. otherwise you can accept bookings from guest users who are still required to provide contact details.
You can choose to require customers to enter addtional information e.g. asking for any special dietary requirements.
In Restaurant Style, only 1 Resource can be assigned. This Resource should be setup with the hours that this service is available e.g. if a lunch service then your Resource might be set with the hours 11:30 til 14:00. For an evening Service you may set a Resource up with the hours 18:00 til 23:30.
How Capacity and Time Slots work
Restaurant style booking works on the basis of how many customers you can accommodate in any one service and how you would like to stagger those customer bookings throughout the Service.
Example 1 - If you work on the basis of the table is booked for the night and you can accommodate up to 60 diners during a 3 hour Service, and your kitchen can cope with 10 diners at a time, you might set your service up like this:
That setup will allow no more than 8 people to be booked in any 30 minute interval and accommodates up to 56 people booking online per service.
Example 2 - If you work on the basis that on average diners only stay for a shorter amount of time and you regulalry re sell some tables you may want to take a different approach e.g
That setup will allow no more than 10 people to be booked in any 20 minute interval and accommodates 100 people booking online per service.
